Overview of the Webinar
This session was designed for Liferay developers, architects, and digital transformation leaders seeking to integrate AI-driven assistants within enterprise portals. It addressed the growing need for automation, conversational interfaces, and intelligent task management in large ecosystems.
Shikhar outlined how Nirvana’s Agent Builder Framework helps create, manage, and deploy AI assistants inside Liferay DXP (bridging content, commerce, and operations). The webinar also focused on challenges such as integrating external LLMs, ensuring data privacy, and maintaining role-based access for secure AI operations.
Demonstration of the AI Virtual Assistant Framework
Shikhar began with a walkthrough of Nirvana’s Virtual Assistant Manager, a configurable system that enables enterprises to create multiple assistants with voice enablement, LLM integration, and role-based control.
He demonstrated the assistant “Ginny”, showing how it interacts through natural language and performs live data operations via APIs integrated with Liferay’s user and commerce modules.
The session also featured a voice-enabled agent powered by OpenAI, performing real business tasks like user creation and information retrieval, highlighting real-time automation inside the Liferay ecosystem.
Chat, Search & GovCon Use Cases
The webinar then explored multi-modal agents, including a chat-based assistant using Llama and a search agent integrated with Liferay Enterprise Search. Shikhar showcased how the same codebase adapts to different UI modes with contextual capabilities.
A highlight was the GovCon Partner Matching demo, where an AI agent named Jenny used machine learning to identify government contracting partners, analyze RFPs, and retrieve contract data, demonstrating the framework’s scalability and real-world application.
AI Agent Deployment Framework & Architecture
Shikhar unveiled Nirvana’s AI Agent Deployment Framework, supporting SaaS, PaaS, and self-hosted environments within Liferay. The platform enables multi-tenant agent creation, custom permissions, and governance guardrails.
It supports multiple LLM providers such as OpenAI, Grok, and Llama, with future compatibility for Gemini and Perplexity. The discussion emphasized ethical AI guardrails, contextual awareness, and semantic decision-making using FAISS vector databases and the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Cross-Platform Virtual Assistant Solution
Nirvana presented a cross-platform AI assistant solution compatible with all Liferay deployment models. It integrates with vector databases and MCP servers for real-time contextual operations.
Shikhar explained its use cases in enterprise automation, cost optimization, and reducing repetitive manual tasks, ensuring secure, role-aware interactions. The session concluded by encouraging organizations to treat AI virtual assistants as strategic enablers for digital productivity and transformation.
